The XL Signature upright vacuum is packed with fantastic features to make your cleaning easier, its streamlined helping hand handle is sleek and comfortable and incorporates a drop cord release. The brushroll grooms deep into your carpet to lift the pile, remove pet hair and dirt and prolong carpet life but it's just as effective on hard floors. Soft, rounded bristles and automatic self-adjustment ensure that dust and fluff is swept away without marking to floors. Combined with this are side brushes that scoop up dirt right to the edge of the room. All this in virtually one pass!

Here's how: our upright vacuums incorporate a "dirty air system" in which dirt is pulled through a fan that breaks it into smaller particles that get sucked up into the vacuum. Oreck's smaller motor drives this fan, as well as the brushroll. Because these smaller motors sit closer to the floor they provide efficient suction and are able to spin the brushroll incredibly fast.
