Servicing and Service Kits
Bogus Oreck Engineers
Oreck does not ask anyone to call on our behalf. All our servicing and/or repairs are carried out by Oreck Approved Service Centres or at our Exeter workshop at your request. If someone calls you to talk about your Oreck vacuum, check that they're from Oreck. Although we never pass on the names and addresses of our customers, unauthorised companies are cold-calling UK households - offering to carry out service or repair work.
Some unscrupulous businesses are making speculative calls offering cheap services that actually end up costing customers much more. Work carried out by these engineers will also invalidate your manufacturer's warranty.
Oreck Upright Servicing
Oreck servicing allows our customers to keep their machine in tiptop condition once it is out of manufacturer's warranty.
Generally speaking a service will take about 7 working days but this does depend on the type of service required for each individual case.
NB: Vacuums must have the dust bag completely removed and be securely boxed, where possible, in the original box
To arrange a service for your Oreck upright, please call an advisor to arrange a collection for your machine whereby upon inspection a quote for servicing costs will be provided.
DIY Service Kits
Over time, and to keep your Oreck in tip-top condition, we recommend that you replace some of the consumable items of your Oreck. We recommend that you change the motor belt every 6 months. Brushes should be replaced if they become worn.
NB: These parts can be fitted in the home but please ensure the machine is unplugged.
